Taatisolar is a for-profit social enterprise that was established in 2017. It is a 100% registered Namibian entity with a focus on direct import and distribution of solar, water and sanitation products and & turnkey solutions for the rural off-grid market. The solar products in Tier 1-3 category feature lanterns, light systems, and smaller appliances. In Tier 4-5 category, the focus is on DC refrigeration appliances, solar water pumps, and innovative solutions applicable to the water and energy for food nexus. Our Total Accessible Market (TAM) is 1.5 million people and the available market is about 1.345 million people without access to energy (66%), whereby only 165,000 people (11%) have access to electricity (ECB, 2020). The target market segments are rural smallholder and livestock cooperatives, green schemes for food production, households, schools, health facilities and micro enterprises
